The correspondent of The Times of India newspaper died en route to hospital after being attacked with sharp edged weapons near a market in Basaguda in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. The Times of India reported that the attackers were Maoists and that Reddy had received multiple threats in the months leading up to his murder.
