The editor of a website ‘El Ciudadano‘ was found dead near the city of Victoria in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas.

According to police sources, the journalist had been kidnapped two weeks earlier when he was snatched by armed men while leaving a cinema with his family in Victoria. His body was found partially buried alongside a decapitated body of an unidentified female victim.

Chávez’s Twitter feed had been silent since May 22, reports added.
