The female journalist, who worked for the national television station (SNTV), was killed when a bomb exploded under her car in Mogadishu on Thursday, colleagues reportedly said. Mohamed was returning home from university when the bomb went off. She was critically injured in the blast and later died of her wounds.

Her late husband, also a journalist with the same television station, was killed in a suicide attack on a Mogadishu restaurant in 2012, the AFP said.
