Agustín Ignacio Mina, Daniel Eduardo Diambrosio

The 19-year-old journalist was killed in northwestern Argentina while on assignment covering the Rally Dakar Sudamérica auto race. Mina died after the vehicle in which he was travelling careened off a curve on a dangerous section of the road.

A technician working with Mina, Daniel Eduardo Diambrosio, was also killed. Two other passengers, Peruvian photographer Rodrigo de Quesada and his Argentinian colleague Martín Delgado survived. The Rally’s organisers stated that the journalists were not accredited to cover the full race.
