The cameraman for Al-Mayadeen, a Beirut-based satellite television channel was killed while covering the fighting between the Syrian army and rebels in the Deir Ezzor province, according to the channel quoted by AFP.

A Syrian army officer reportedly said that the cameraman was shot in the neck by a sniper and died in hospital, AFP added.
