Ninth Issue of IFJ Focus on Safety now Available

The ninth issue of IFJ's Focus on Safety is now available. The issue covers safety-related news and events which marked the month of July. These range from the IFJ-backed push to raise the profile of investigation in the murder of a Russian journalist and the IFJ's call on President Obama to seek the release of Ethiopian journalists in Jail, something he raised in his speech at the African Union in which he denounced jailing journalists and suppressing dissent. Other issues covered include the cases referred by the IFJ and its European organisation the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) to the Council of Europe's Platfomr for the promotion of journalism and the safety of journalists, the case of missing Spanish journalists in Syria as well as the attacks on online media in China.
