The Kurdish TV repoorter for Ronahi TV was fatally injured in a landmine explosion on 13 July in the Syrian locality of Manjib where he was covering fighting between the so-called Islamic State and the coalition. He was taken to hospital in Kobané for treatment but died of his wounds on 18 July 2016.
