According to IFJ affiliate, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate (PJS), Italian photographer Kamili Simon, 37, who worked for Associated Press, and Palestinian photographer Ali Abuafash, 38, who worked for AFP, were killed today, Wednesday 13 August, in Beit Lahya, north of the Gaza Strip.

They were filming as Palestinian bomb disposal experts tried to dismantle the bomb when it exploded. Another Palestinian photographer, Hatem Musa, 37, who also works for Associated Press, was seriously injured in the incident.
