The journalist, who also headed the Association of Community radios called "Vara 7", was shot dead by unidentified gunmen who opened fire on him as he was leaving the studios of Radio Spacio 96.1 in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. He became the second journalist to be killed since the start of 2015.
