The 66-year-old Technical Director at ITV Sport died during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, shortly before the game between Wales and United States he was due to comment.

In a statement, ITV said that, Roger Pearce who had worked for the station for 43 years and was due to retire on 31 December, had died at his hotel while working on the World Cup in Qatar.
