Farah, who worked for Bossasso-based Somali Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) and London-based Kalsan TV, was shot dead in Puntland, according to the National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ).
NUSOJ says that the journalist was attacked by unidentified gunmen in Barahley neighborhood of Galkayo town while he was walking home.
He was shot six times and was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Farah became the fifth journalist killed since the start of the year, NUSOJ added.
