TADAM -Tools & Awareness about Disinformation, Algorithm and Media

TADAM -Tools & Awareness about Disinformation, Algorithm and Media is an EU-Funded project looking into challenges, best practices and educational resources on artificial intelligence and media.

Artificial intelligence has huge potential to benefit journalism. Without sufficient regulation, and the prior agreement of those it impacts, however, AI has the potential to negatively affect jobs, journalistic ethics, and authors’ rights, as well as exacerbating unfair bias.

The project involves 9 partners including the IFJ. It looks into the impact of artificial intelligence and algorithms on the media and news content, help define journalists' needs, and will support the design of educational resources.

The IFJ's role in the project is to voice the concerns of media workers and ensure quality information and jobs are enhanced and not undermined by AI developments. The Federation will ensure the active involvement of its members in Europe in the project’s activities.

A series of cross-sectoral events will be organised in  EU countries, including the IFJ roundtable for journalists in Montenegro on 2nd of October 2024.
