The 39-year-old Director of Noticias Web de Oaxaca was killed after being shot at least five times while he was in his recording studio with his son in the town of Salina Cruz in the state of Oaxaca.
The police arrested suspects in connection the killing of López Vázquez, with some reports claiming he had received death threats.
