The 57-year-old senior journalist editor of Criminal Express, a newspaper in Donetsk covering the crime news, was killed along his wife in a village of Bogorodychne near Slovyansk in war-torn Donetsk Oblast, according to police sources.
Officials of the Interior Ministry were quoted as saying that the couple was knifed to death. Media reports added that Kuchynsk had gained reputation from his investigations into the Donbass mafia.
