According to the Pakista Federal Union of Journalists(OPFUJ), an IFJ affiliate, 35-year-old Mustoi who worked as assignment editor of ARY News in Quetta and served as General Secretary Balochistan Union of Journalist (BUJ), was shot dead by unknown gunmen who sprayed bullets at his office located at MA Jinnah Road, Quetta, Balochistan. Two of his colleagues who were in the office , trainee reporter Muhammad Abdul Rasool and media staff Muhammad Younas, were also killed in the attack. The assailants fled the crime scene.
The victims' bodies were taken to the hospital and initial examinations stated that all three died due to bullet injuries to their chest and heads.
