Since its launch in March 2015, the Council of Europe's online platform on the protection of journalism and the safety of journalists has published 61 alerts issued by the four partner organisations, the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ), Article 19 and the Association of European Journalists (AEJ).
Out of the 61 alerts submitted, the IFJ and EFJ have jointly submitted over 40 alerts on the platform. A number of these alerts were also supported by other partner organisations.

The four organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Council of Europe in December 2014 to contribute alerts on the violations of journalists' press freedoms and rights.
