The American freelance journalist was killed while covering fighting between the South Sudanese army and the rebel in Kaya, near the South Soudan’s border with Uganda, according to media reports.
Christopher Allen was said to have been embedded with the rebel forces when he was killed. He had worked for Al Jazeera and Vice News. He also covered the war in Eastern Ukraine.
