The journalist who worked for Canal 12 was gunned down in Copán department, west of Honduras, as he was on his way to work by unidentified armed men open fire from a vehicle. According to local sources, Dominguez had reported receiving death threats in months prior to his killing. He was believed to have accused one person he did not name as being behind the threats.
