The female journalist for the Urumqi Evening News died in an accident while conducting iinterviews on a construction site in Urumqi, capital of Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, according to media reports.
The management of the media outlet confirmed that the Ms Lu was accidentally crushed by a forklift at a site under a viaduct on Tuanjie Road around 11 am. Another colleague who was with her was also injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
