The journalist who worked for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), was among four people killed in a road accident involving the convoy of the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Ali Olanusi.
The crash happened in Ondo State on the Akure-Ondo road when the vehicle of the deputy governor hit another car and the driver lost control, colliding with the NTA van in which Akinwale was travelling.
