Visit Migrant Narratives website
Migrant Narratives is a tool for journalists and those who want to understand more about labor migration. It showcases the best reporting on labour migration issues and the winners of all the ILO Global Media Competition on Labour Migration editions.
The website provides key tools and tips for journalists to cover migrants' stories, including the best toolkits, glossaries, charters and podcasts about migration.
It will also host a Facebook group where journalists from all over the world can share their experiences when covering stories about migrant workers, stay up to date on upcoming events and competitions and create professional networks between them. To join the group, please click here.
Migrantnarratives.org will also help journalists, media workers, policy makers and trainers to stay tuned-in to relevant upcoming events and trainings.
IFJ General Secretary, Anthony Bellanger, said: “We believe that now, more than ever, the role of the media in shaping public perception on migration is critical. We are delighted to launch the Migrant Narratives project, which will promote rights-based reporting on labour migration, and will offer key support and resources for journalists to produce balanced reporting that tells all sides of the migration story”.
